Katariina Mäenpää

Katariina Mäenpää, PhD (BA) is a RDI specialist and project manager in LAB University of Applied Sciences, Institute of Design and Fine Arts (Lahti, Finland). Her background is in-depth Marketing and consumer behavior boosted with studies in Psychology and Sociology. Her early academic work concentrated on user perceived value in consumer services and particularly in internet banking services. Studies in psychology and sociology supported and developed her insight on consumer behavior and decision-making processes.

Katariina has worked several years in different development project both private and public sector, continuously growing to more and more international direction. Currently, she is running two international Erasmus+ projects in one of which she acts as a project manager for the whole project and in the other as responsible for managing partner organization. Active collaboration with the stakeholders and participation in writing new funding proposals belongs also to her daily task list.

She is familiar with innovations and inventiveness, service design and co-creation, and she enjoys working with multi-talented people in interdisciplinary networks.
